DD Optics Kolibri 8X42 Gen3 Binoculars

The Kolibri 8x42 Gen3 is the brightest Kolibri for anyone who wants a bright, steady image when enjoying nature, birdwatching, hiking or stalking. The 42 mm objective lens offers the greatest light-gathering capacity in the range; 8× magnification combines an exceptionally generous field of view with a large 5.25 mm exit pupil. This makes viewing comfortable even at twilight and in more difficult light.

OPTICS & PRISMS
Maximum brightness, a wide overview.
The 8× magnification is ideal for panoramic views, moving subjects and steady observation. The large 42 mm objective lens produces an especially bright image – an advantage for birdwatching, hiking and stalking late in the day. Schmidt–Pechan prisms and HDX-FMC coating deliver high-contrast detail with minimal reflections.

LIGHTWEIGHT & ROBUST
Travel light, observe with confidence.
The compact polycarbonate housing makes the Kolibri pleasantly light and practical for everyday use. A metal focusing wheel, dioptre adjustment and eyecups ensure precise, durable operation.

COMPACT
A secure grip, even with gloves
Practical for extended use in all weather.

SMART FOCUS & EYECUPS
See clearly without constantly refocusing.
Internal focusing allows sharp viewing from just 2.5 m. TwistUp metal eyecups and 17 mm eye relief also provide comfortable observation for glasses wearers.

Close focus for new discoveries
Ideal for nature, travel and hiking.

A clear view when the weather changes.
The RNP coating supports the water-repellent surface of the outer lenses. In testing, the Kolibri remained watertight at a depth of 30 cm for over 20 minutes. The nitrogen filling supports clear viewing in rain and changing temperatures.
